Mindful Psychiatric Prescribing & Therapy

Psychiatric Wellness Center is a private practice serving New Hampshire and Massachusetts. Our practice is unique as it utilizes treatment methods to treat the whole person. Our providers are nurse practitioners who offer both therapy and medication as well as highly trained licensed therapists who offer individual counseling.

Our nurse practitioners and licensed therapists incorporate holistic methods to aid in your recovery and resilience. Our nurse practitioners prescribe medication in a mindful manner in addition to providing coping skill strategies, education, mindful listening and therapeutic interventions such as CBT and trauma informed counseling. You are carefully monitored to ensure you are safely on any medications while in our care. Our goal is to create a healing environment for each individual by carefully curating unique treatment plans to serve your needs.

What makes us different?

We are here: We know it takes a lot of courage to call or email to make an appointment. In these high stress times we know how important it is to connect. Our practice has staff dedicated to patient communication. We aim to get back to your inquiry same business day. If you call to speak to a live person we are able to accommodate this as we know how hard it is to reach out for help. Support staff is a vital piece of any healthcare practice. We get it and value it.

Our Nurse Practitioners: As nurses, our nurse practitioners are part of one of the most trusted professions. Nurse practitioners have much different training than other mental health providers. The standards for nurse practitioners are high as they are licensed to prescribe medication and must understand both psychiatry and the human body. At Psychiatric Wellness our nurse practitioners are trained at top tier schools and offer both mediation and therapy in most cases.

Our therapists: What also sets us apart is our highly trained therapists who have a vast knowledge of their specialties. When you choose a therapist with Psychiatric Wellness you can be rest assured that they understand the diagnosis you are struggling with. Therapists can be social workers, family marriage therapists or licensed mental health counselors. They are the added support you may need. We ensure our therapists have attended schools that are accredited, they are licensed and have extensive experience before arriving to the private practice setting.

Our patients: Our patients are engaged and committed to their treatment. They are perfectly imperfect! Our patients come from different backgrounds and walks of life. Many are in healthcare, professional settings, college students, those struggling with perfectionism, women’s health issues, depression, anxiety and managing life’s daily stressors. They are parents, siblings, coworkers, spouses, pet parents friends and family.

Limitations of Telemedicine

Certain psychiatric symptoms and conditions require in person care or a higher level of care than can be provided through virtual means. If at any point it is determined that you can no longer be safely treated via telemedicine, Psychiatric Wellness Center will provide appropriate referrals.

Evidenced Based Practices

Our practice utilizes evidenced based methods. This includes: cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), person centered therapy, trauma informed therapy, medication management, brief psychotherapy, mindfulness based counseling.
