About & Education: Meredith is an ANCC board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She received her Master's of Science in Nursing and Bachelor's of Science in Nursing from the Massachusetts General Hospital Institute of Health Professions. Meredith also holds a clinical Master's of Social Work degree from Boston College. Meredith specializes in the medication management and psychotherapy of adults, ages 16 and older who are experiencing depression, anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, bipolar disorder, and premenstrual dysphoric disorder. Meredith's special interests include treating patients experiencing chronic depression, excessive worries as well as patients experiencing significant life transitions including young adulthood, pregnancy, new mothers/fathers, marital conflicts & divorce.
Experience: Meredith's experience as a nurse practitioner and clinician has allowed her to bring compassion, empathy and medical knowledge to each patient encounter. She works together with her patients to develop a treatment plan involving therapeutic interventions, psychotropic medication and lifestyle changes. She understands the importance of collaborating with primary care providers, therapists and other health care providers in order to create a complete treatment plan. She enjoys providing ongoing education on symptoms, diagnosis and treatment options and she is committed to supporting patients.
Meredith's 20 years of experience working in the mental health field has solidified her commitment to providing high quality patient care using a patient centered, strengths-based and caring treatment approach. She has worked with patients in a variety of settings including outpatient, inpatient, partial hospitalization and the community as well as conducting clinical research. Please be aware I do not treat ADHD, drug abuse or addiction. Please keep in mind when completing your intake.
